hi guys just before i get into my stupid simple problem let me just say ive been usin a m8s server with him for 6 months and handle every thing i need to without hassles so im not thick
my problem being is i decided to get my own
and have never set one up
ive got all e-mails for ovh but no instruction on how to get on the server
and thats my very stupid and simple problem
ive even tried usin filezilla to get on but no joy
can anyone help

you have a few choices to connect...

1. nxclient if its ubuntu linux desktop

2 rdp (remote desktop) windows

3. ssh (putty,securecrt,scp,ect)
there is probally more than this but its a start and your post is a bit vague

If you want filezilla on a server then maybe look at OVH's Release 1 or 2 which come with Filezilla pre configured, http://www.ovh.co.uk/individual/items/distributions/release_2.xml?sort=mail. These can be installed in OVH Manager, under the server, then 'Services' and 'Reinstall /Change OS'.

the problem was ovh hadnt installed the os on it so once i had done it got on no probs and all up and running fine
