View Full Version : OVH - Kimsufi biggest scam going!
Hello,
I'm here out of pure rage at your servers / customer service which is truly the most appalling I've ever encountered.
I was tricked / misled into paying twice for a single Kimsufi server (I ended up with 2 instead of 1) I was told I hadn't paid for it, and now you've practically stolen an additional £50 from me!
I was patient at first and requested a refund of which YOU WENT OUT OF YOUR WAY TO REFUSE! I'm highly irate at the moment, and am considering legal action against you for manipulation / trickery into making me pay for it twice.
The fact the processing power is weak, why would I want another one? Really? I'm truly outraged and want to scream explicit content at you! But I'm not that immature and will keep them thought's of what I'd like to say in my head for the sheer eye watering content I'd unleash upon readers of this.
My warning to potential customers, is stay clear from these con-merchants who don't even have a real complaints department.
Not a happy customers at all, NIC: dj109446-ovh

Hi Jordan,
Our ordering system will not allow you to pay for the same server twice - it is detected if attempted and automatically stopped. You placed an order for two different servers.
Your first order was on the 28th of December for a Dedicated Server, your second order was on the 13th of January for a block of IP Addresses - this was the order in question that you were told was not made. A few hours later an order was generated for a Dedicated Server. There were then two more orders for IP Addresses on the 17th, followed by a Dedicated Server order on the 19th.
With regards to the server being not up to par with your requirements - we have listed the server specifications on the website.
You contacted us on the 19th, requesting a refund - but as you are a customer registered as a company, Article 10 of our General Terms & Conditions of Service state that the right to cancel applies only to consumers: http://www.ovh.co.uk/support/termsofservice/GENERAL_TERMS_AND_CONDITIONS_OF_SERVICES.pdf
I've been an OVH customer for several years, and while problems occasionally crop up, I can tell you that OVH are not scammers. You've just been unfortunate enough to have confused some orders, but you were the one in the end that actually paid for the services. If you had already knowingly paid, why did you pay a second time? That makes no sense at all.

YrgnaRM - I've been with OVH/Kimsufi for a couple of years for various different services on and off. Whenever I have ordered a service, whether this be a RPS, Dedicated Server, Domain or a License key - the order system generates an invoice...which you have to pay for it to become active.
On one occasion I went through the renewal stages to calculate the cost of my service renewal and its generated an invoice. I got in contact with support to say it was a mistake they advised that I should ignore the invoice and it automatically expired. If you did the same why did you pay it? - You surely would have realized that you have generated two invoices...and why would you enter your card details TWICE? Personally if i had of made that mistake I would have never entered by card details twice...
Sorry but I cant see how you have been 'mislead'
However as a gesture of good will I hope they sort it out for you
Christian :)
P.S On occasions I have been in contact with Sales AND Support, they have always replied in adequate time and ALWAYS been helpful and friendly.
You get what you pay for. Go to softlayer and pay 10x that and they'll hold your hand.
When I purchased my first server at OVH in 2010 I had a similar problem.
I signed up and paid for the server but it did not get setup.
I called OVH and they told me I had not paid for the server, but I know I did.
They suggested I place the order again.
It wasn't until I forwarded the payment confirmation email that the support staff looked into it further and found the order was delayed by OVH in France for payment review (some kind of security check I guess).
So there seems to be a problem that the customer thinks his payment is completed, but the local office OVH staff are unaware of it and are telling customers to resubmit orders.
I think OVH should look into this.

From what I can see you have a US Account, which has nothing to do with the original customers issue, as they are a UK customer and therefore use a different payment system.
I use OVH already for a few years. I know there pros and cons.
For me its the best hosting company ever used. I make a living a business
with some servers. I believe they do a great job. No scam at all.
Because of OVH servers i pay my rent car and food :p
Just have to do smart business. And OVH is a great partner to go with ;)

OVH offer a very very good service, amazing servers at bargain prices, they really are very good.
Thats from a loyal customer of many years :)
I mean they give you nice pens and pads and even T Shirts sometimes :)
Joking aside they are a great company, and if they have any jobs in UK, I wouldn't actually mind being employed by them.
Oles/Neil any jobs going? :)

Welcome to OVH :D Unless you bought one of the baby Kimis then the servers are far from anything that could be described as weak. OVH is fine, don't moan if you messed up the order. Stick with it, who know, you may even get to like it here in the end!
