View Full Version : [TUTORIAL] DNS Server tutorial for Windows
Hello all,
I just finished making a tutorial for setting up DNS servers on Windows servers. It took nearly 3 hours, so I hope everything is right!
You can see it at http://abyssunderground.co.uk/installing-dnsserver.php
I hope it is of use to people. Be warned however, its not for the simple minded!

Nice one Andy
This will come in extremely handy as im looking at installing DNS on my server :)
I'd rather know how to do it on Linux.
Thanks for this tutorial Andy, i do have one suggestion, could you add a section on adding a subdomain? e.g. http://something.yourdomain.com

Its easy, just add an A record like you did with www, smtp and pop.

You want to be using djbdns (because its so lightweight).
If your using debian etch as your OS then follow this tutorial:
