    wow perfect your the man w00t it work fine am getting now 1630.6 GB as befor i was only getting around 872 gb only not the full 2tb but i know hard drive work like this you never get the full hard drive disk space but again thanks for all you help on this

    16GB of swap is an overkill , and will never be used by such server.

    the
    n(RAM)x2 = swap

    rule does not apply anymore these days as RAM became cheaper.

    I would sugget no more than 4GB of swap.

    btw , if your system swaps so much .. you should look at a larger server cause swap is a slow way to cache :-)

    and how about for partition 1 anythin between 20 and 50gb is this good i already did it like this like w00t said and every thing is working good but i wanted to know is this also to much

    swap 2GB ( it will do 2X2GB so actually u get 4GB over 2 disks ).
    /home/ the rest

    and you are set to go

    i usualy go for much complicated layouts , as example /var takes its own mount point for me , but that's because im working on my own setups

    thanks yonatan whats var mount point ? i also wanted to ask you by doing this changing the server raid to 0 will this slow down the server performance or would it still run the same or with better performance

    you don't need a /var mountpoint for basic usage...,
    raid 0 or raid 1 will be pretty much the same , as it is software raid not hardware raid ...
