Proxmox - HELP

Having just started out using a server to which we want to have setup as a system to host VPS accounts we are a little lost as to the setup of Proxmox.
We have a number of fall over IP's given to us via OVH and for the last few days at least 2 of us have tried and tried to get the system running.
Getting the OS on the server and running has been easy however we are at a full loss as to how to get these then connected to the outside world and the correct network settings.

We are looking for a simple guide as to what we should be doing to see where we are going wrong or even better for us and willing to pay for sombody to go through the set up with us so that we are better able to learn how to do it ourselfs at a later date.

Re: Proxmox - HELP

In case you haven't yet, look at the How To guides as well: http://forum.ovh.co.uk/showthread.php?t=3485. Also read the comments people have left about their issues/solutions. A sticking issue is which IP to use as the gateway... Then there's also the firewall + NAT option (also in that guide where to find them).

One tip: On your first try, do not use "VIRTIO" for the network but leave it at its default (RT8191) or use "e1000". The OS is more likely to have native support for these (and you can always change to a VIRTIO network device later, once you have the required drivers installed).

Re: Proxmox - HELP

What guest OS are you using, I found Windows was a particular pain to assign multiple failovers to when I first got my node. Linux VZ is rather easy and the OVH guide is very helpful for this.
