Thanks! I was just looking at the module for nginx - After using Wowza it looks excellent!

I'm not seeing the tutorial / link in your post.

Here is a tutorial on how to put a RTMP server using nginx on a Linux box. It's written for Debian, but you can follow it on any distro, just changin the first command according to your distro package manager & repositories.

According to how many people will see your broadcast, video & audio quality, etc, you may need additional bandwidth from OVH. Check the prices here: https://www.ovh.co.uk/dedicated_serv...th-upgrade.xml

I recommended OVH to a friend and he ended up buying a beefy server. His needs will be streaming video upto 2000 people.

He wants to take a RTMP stream and stream it into a MPEG DASH stream so it can be viewed on non-flash browsers.


Does anyone have any experience here? What solutions should we use? We've looked at Wowza but we're interested in finding a open source or free solution if possible.
