Hello there OVH,

Is it possible to have a precise calendar with precise dates at which time the various SoAPI services will actually be disabled? I am having trouble getting my customers understand migrating to APIv6 has to be done soon. "TBD" is not really helping. Please give us dates, so we can plan migration safely...

Hello,

It seems you have recently changed an essential thing… My account is protected, and has been for over a year, by a 2-factor identification scheme. I've been extensively using the SOAPI without problem, only sending login and password…

But it looks like, 4 days ago, you changed that behavior because no login procedure would be allowed, and I would receive this message : 310Wrong user id or password or 2FA activated.

I had to remove the 2-factor authentication scheme to be able to use SOAPI again !!!!

I wish I had been warned before, as this has blocked my production for 4 days with no legitimate reason…

And I haven't seen anything in the soapi that would allow this…

Please change things with care…

Given that SoAPI is closing soon, it is time to take stock. SoAPI can handle 663 methods, separated in 21 groups :

• Account: to manage your loyalty account
• Billing: to manage your bills
• Dedicated: to manage your dedicated servers
• Domains: to manage your domain names
• Emails: to manage your emails
• Hosting: to manage your hosting
• Infrastructure: to manage certain options
• ManagedServices: to manage certain dedicated server options
• Misc: Various
• NIC: to manage your NIC-handle
• Notepad: Notepad Service
• Order: to order certain options (IP FO MXplan, credit, SMS)
• Prepaid: to manage your old prepaid account
• Reseller: to manage your loyalty account
• RPS: to manage your old RPSs
• Service: to manage your services and service groups
• Session: to manage your session
• Private SQL: to manage your private SQL
• Support: to contact support
• Telephony: telephony management
• Ticket: to contact support

Only 36% of the 660 methods were called in 0ctober 2016
Some groups were not called during this period (ManagedServices / Notepad / Prepaid / RPS / Misc / Reseller / Support).
Others are still widely used (Telephony / Dedicated / Domains / Emails / Hosting…).

OVH aims to deactivate SoAPI group by group.
To do this we have to identify what you use as customers so that we can help you with yout migration to APIv6.

We are preparing our SoAPI / APIv6 corresondance and we will be in touch once it is complete.
