I have been testing the same FTP host (ftpback5.ovh.net - OVH Backup) on my other server "EG BestOF/CentOS" and this backup server is working fine .... So this has something to do this the "Rescue Mode" (Linux/BSD bassed) nothing else (as I have confirmed I cannot connect to any host via FTP within Rescue Mode)...

I have two servers EG BestOF/Kimsufi 08 XXL both from OVH the reason why the server is still down relies purely on the fact that an OVH backup service is still down/un-accessable through "Rescue Mode" i'm sure this feature should be online an available at all times! you sold me the server to my knowledge of these features present I expect them to work when needed not wait even a secound (its the 3rd day and counting) they need to fix this ASAP...

do you have a PRO server ? if you have a kimsufi server, you
choose to use a "not pro" server and you have "not pro" SLA.

if you have PRO server, have a look on the SLA.

Your problem is a level 2 problem: your server pings, but you
have a fonctioning of the service problem (if it's really ovh's
side problem).

So, GTI 24 hours. That means, that Ovh has to begin the resolution
of the problem max 24 hours after your created the incident ticket.

do you have a server pro ? when did you openned the task ? and when
ovh answered you the first time ? if it's more that 24 hours: yes
you have the refund. how much ?

Incidents Support level 1
Refund per delayed hour (% of the server price) 5 %
Maximum refund per month (% of the server price) 50%

More you pay, better support you get. We don't propose on Kimsufi
all the services that Ovh proposes.

Am i going to get compensated for this? I expect a service to be online if i'm paying for it... this is the 3rd day server is offline.

Ok, it is not a ftp backup related problem.

Our team is checking the problem right now, you'll get answer via
incident ticket.

Timmy i am accessing it from the servers IP.

and even if I try doing the same;

ftp (external ip not to do with OVH) gives me the same error # 241 - so this has got to do with the rescue mode maybe its blocking access to external hosts/connections not 100% sure.

I need to backup my data servers been offline for 3 days now ;S

Hi There guys

I'm new here I have a Windows 2K3 server but its down its got corrupt/missing files. So I have decided to backup all the Data on the server and setup a re-install with OVH as there is no-one that can fix this issue at OVH (even though I have told them exactly what to do).

I need to know if anyone knows how to access the OVH FTP backup via Telnet/SSH? I have connected through SSH on Putty(Windows) fine, as soon as I try to access a remote/or the OVH ftp host it gives me this error # 241 - output below.

Hopefully someone can help! (OVH support doesn't seem to know and I expect they will take ages to come back).
