I guess it's either a problem on your server or with your particular OVH network segment. Have you opened a support ticket?

I emailed our VIP support yesterday - no response.

It's more likely it's a configuration problem on the server/servers that host the sites. OVH does not put restrictions on internal traffic.

Then why do I get a response from a SyS server and the OP doesn't get a response from an OVH one?

External sites I'm trying to access from OVH servers.

I'm able to get a response from all of them from a SyS VPS, with the exception of smartonlineessays.com which returns no response

Our dev team have reported a problem getting through to various websites (they need to grab and process them as they are clients) but they are blocked from every location in OVH - from inside our firewall, outside our firewall all our dedicated servers everything.

Is this likely to be external sites blocking OVH or OVH blocking access going out?
