Hello.

Have you tried selecting a different region? I made this mistake once as I bought a server with the region set to US even though I'm from the UK, meaning I had to manually select a region upon every visit. The accounts are not linked through the regions with SyS so for example if you signed up and bought a package in the region of France, the only place you can log in to and maintain your machine with is the French region. To select your region go to the main SyS page and click on the flag in the top right, once a region is selected you can then click Control Panel and that is the login screen specific to that region.

Hope this helps

ab75: What do you mean by this: I guess now I have the user not synched between sys and ovh

Do you mean SYS as in SoYouStart? You know nic handles are different between SYS and OVH accounts?

Number depends on which OVH page you ordered your servers. If you ordered on OVH.ie, call +353 1 293 7844; if you did on OVH.co.uk, call +44 20 73 57 66 16. For other countries, check the corresponding OVH website, the phone number is at the bottom of the main page.

Remember OVH does not offers assistance on software issues. They are just responsible for hardware & network. If you have some software/configuration issue, you can contact me, I might be able to help you.

Thank you.

I understand - Just thought if it was something that needs urgent action that would be the quickest way of getting it resolved.

What is the problem though, as someone here maybe able to help ?

I guess.. but I'm 99% sure they have problem with the integration of the sys user in the ovh user, the short story is
- New User
- User Validated correctly
- Trying to buy but VAT applied (shouldn't), so I change browser and re-login, ok this time
- Trying to buy asking again for user and password (I'm logged in) but says wrong password
- Reset Password with email -> User not valid / no email are received
- Reset Password with nic-handle -> Fine
I guess now I have the user not synched between sys and ovh
The problem is that I used the links in email/website which are not synced
then they ask you to write to support but then you get an auto answer to open the ticket via Panel.

They are lost somewhere

Have you tried phoning them to chase this up? - They are normally very accommodating over the phone.

I opened an assistance ticket (5810321239) on 13 July !!!!!! 5 days without anyone even taking a look at it, and all because your registration/recover password/sync with ovh main system SUCKS!!! I wonder who is the genious who made the integration. Should I start looking for a new service and move out all the domains and server from here (ovh)?
