Regarding the AntiDDOS, there's not much information about the differences between OVH & SyS, but, checking both information pages, and remembering some older information, I think the only difference is some kind of customization possible only under OVH servers, Formerly, this was the only differences between the AntiDDOS & AntiDDOS Pro, but now OVH offer one type of AntiDDOS(not considering Game AntiDDOS), so I suppose now all OVH servers include the old AntiDDOS Pro(with customization), while SyS servers include the old standard AntiDDOS, with no customization.

Depending on server type, You either get Anti-DDoS PRO or Anti-DDoS GAME

GAME is optimized for most popular game- and voice servers by default and comes with access to "Network Firewall" where you can specify up to 20 ACL rules for traffic before it hits to your server. If you have Gameserver, this is the most optimal Anti-DDoS solution for UDP traffic.

PRO is optimized for generic usage & TCP applications. You ideally would go to "PRO" if you host a website or some other similar generic service. It also comes with access to "Network Firewall" where you can specify up to 20 ACL rules for traffic before it hits to your server. If you are hosting a website, you would ideally want block all UDP traffic here to permantently mitigate most of the L3/L4 UDP flood attacks since your website likely won't need UDP protocol to function.

In addition both have an option to permanently enable mitigation mode instead of the automatic "turn on/turn off" mode which may cause temporary 10-30 seconds lag spike during the start and end of an attack. So to avoid that, you can enable permanent mitigation.

In SyS:

SyS Anti-DDoS is the same which "Kimsufi" servers use. Meaning everything is automatic and you can't control or make any rules for it.

SyS Anti-DDoS GAME is the same Anti-DDoS GAME which OVH uses but without an ability to use the "Network Firewall" and ACL rules. You also cannot set the mitigation mode to permanent so its forced to stay on "Automatic detection" which may cause lag at sometimes.

Hi. First of all, consider SyS doesn't offers hosting, only dedicated servers, while OVH offers web hosting, vps, public cloud, and many more services, as well as dedicated servers.

The main differences between OVH & SyS servers are:

- More alternatives are available on OVH
- Some OVH servers have vRack, depending on which range. That can be used to set up a private network between servers, or let VMs roam between hosts using the same public IP.
- SyS servers have bandwidth capped @ 250 Mbps, while OVH servers have better bandwidth, with option to get even more bandwidth.
- OVH servers include 500 GB backup storage, while SyS includes only 100 GB. Also, OVH backup storage includes NFS & CIFS with no additional cost, while SyS charges €2 monthly.
- OVH servers come with up to 256 IPs included(only €2 one time setup fee for each IP), while SyS comes with only 16 IPs under the same terms, and get more but paying €2 monthly.
- SyS servers usually have older hardware. That's specially important when it comes to HDD. In SyS, it's normal to get a 2 years(or even more) old hard disk, while on OVH, you usually get newer hardware.
- Also, OVH hardware is more modern hardware, regardless of the previous usage time
- Some additional services, like extra backup storage or usb stick, are cheaper on OVH, comparing to SyS.
- OVH support is usually better, even when that's not too much.

Hello, i want purchase hosting but sys is cheaper than ovh, so where is differents?
do sys have the same ddos protection like on ovh, or have some differences?
i have mu online server, and i have hosting on ovh, all is fine, but some people told me that in sys antoddos filter attack so long and players all time get disconnect for 1 second.
