We will strengthen the SP / EG / MG / HG with the KVM (2 weeks), the firewall
(3 weeks), the private vlan (2 weeks) and IP loadbalancing (1 week).

Hi Octave,

When will it be possible to order Chitx services in the UK?

I have a network in London and want a private connection to OVH and a VLAN that will allow me to use my own RIPE allocation of IPs and routing on any dedicated servers that I rent from OVH.
Although I am keen to use more OVH services, I do not want OVH to be visible to external visitors.

I look forward to your reply.

Regards

Is VMWARE esx only going to be avaliable on the HG servers, or will it be rolled out across the line? I'd be very interested in using it (currently I use vmware server) but I dont need an HG server.

Hello,
News 2 / 5 was still too long. We will cut the news
3 / 5 in 2 parties.

In this news, we unveil the concept of "Virtual Datacenter" and
"Virtual Network" that we already offer some of our (large)
clients. It is time to offer everyone.

Servers:
- We must finish 3 pages on the site HG 2009 for explanations
CPUE and power consumed by our servers in order to better
explain the stories of electric power and benefits of
Ovh home servers and our datacentre. The goal is to move
2 main ideas:
- The same type of server (same CPU, same RAM, same disc, all same)
consume at least Ovh. Indeed, thanks to watercooling and écosalle,
to cool, Ovh does not use fans in servers.
But fans in servers consume about 10% of the
electrical power consumed by the server (!)
- The datacentre will consume less energy that any
datacentre traditional or even specific. The report is simple
see triple double.
The dedicated server solutions from Ovh are much more
eco energy that found on the market. It will not
until you say "make a gesture for Nature by renting a server
Sponsored Links "but we want to highlight some steps that we
from 4-5 years.

- They HG 2009 will be available next week in all
our subsidiaries. It is necessary to finalize the French version.
But servers are already ordered life support.

- With the arrival of HG 2009, several large French companies
starting to test our solutions HG 2009. This goes to 100% in the
direction of the spirit of the offer: the aim is that companies
get rid of all the problems in the datacentre, server and the
bandwidth then we entrust everything that has more job really
value added proprietary services and saw the price that we practice.

- We will strengthen the SP / EG / MG / HG with the KVM (2 weeks), the firewall
(3 weeks), the private vlan (2 weeks) and IP loadbalancing (1 week).

- With the arrival of VMware ESXi and its modules (3 weeks), the
HG 2009 server will discover the same server as its own
in the company. The goal is to provide a layer of abstraction
even more important servers HG and offer business tools
software they used to see on a daily basis. With these new
services, we will be able to "virtualize the datacentre" and the ChtiX
"virtualize the network." This means that the client:
- Rent servers with HG ESXi and management modules via VmWare
(abstraction server / OS and the datacentre, the CLIMS, energy)
- Consolidate all servers on a private network at Ovh
(abstraction of LAN switches and cables).
- Provide secure accommodation with servers
datacentre in several different berries and add firewall
if necessary (while continuing to ignore the datacentre,
server and LAN)
- Interconnect this small network of servers that HG has among its Ovh
network that operates with its own routers (AS, its IP, its
firewall) through a VPN and multipoint (we are
in more than 20 datacentre including 6 in Europe alone Paris and
supports a dual connection for example from London and from
Paris, the pattern of our network and then http://weathermap.ovh.net/europe
you have the details of each capital in the left menu).
The finale, the customer is beyond any hard up infrastructure
layer of virtualization software they already know and use it daily.

There is also a simplification of setting up a new server. In
Instead of:
- Pass the order with a manufacturer of servers (duty justify
financial resources of the company for a loan)
- Receiving the servers (several days later)
- To find room in the bays internally (with power
electricity and cooling power),
- Connect the server to the network (possibly having to buy a
new switch)
- Configuring the server with the proper OS (buy licenses, launch
processes of installation, security)
- Then manage the server in time and therefore deal failure
(some manufacturing equipment contracts offer very expensive
can receive a replacement part in 4 hours after
notify such a piece is broken).
the client adds a new server in its network in 1 hour after
payment, very simply and leaving Ovh management failure and
repairs to the server in 30 minutes as our teams are on site and
we have all the pieces on the stock for replacements.
Managing a fleet of enterprise servers becomes very simple, very
more flexible and highly efficient services without degrading the quality.

Since its network of servers HG is interconnected with its own
internal network, all servers of the client (at its own machines
him and he servers at Ovh) are on the same network with its
own IP. With VMware modules can switch machines
to our virtual servers in a few clicks, make backups or
use some resources only at Ovh (eg power
calculation) and other in-home.

Ovh rent infrastructure even at its "competitors" Present
which may subsequently resell the servers under their own brands
with its own IP and its own services then manage via the API
in a fully transparent manner for the final score will not
not really where the servers and what datacentre
but benefit from the services we offer our customers,
no development, no investment and no problem
technical management with their hands in servers. We take care of everything.
