Hello

By default you do not have root access all the time with ubuntu, when you need root you do the Sudo command, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RootSudo

As for adding users you can do it in command line, https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AddUsersHowto

And you are using su/sudo when changing the configuration?

It seems I need to be logged in as root via putty, but I did not get any root password details on purchase only the admin account.

Have sent a email to CS hope they can help.

I have been trying for hours to try and add user and edit some privileges. But it seems that the install from ovh does not give you rights automatically.

I am connecting using NXclient from NoMachine

My problem is that even though I am connected as an admin I can not add user in Ububtu or change any privileges, all the options are greyed out as is the unblock box.

I have tried editing /usr/NX/etc/node.cfg file as suggested in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...363/comments/9

but I get permission denied. I have even tried it using putty and get denied.

Anyone have a way to solve this, I am pulling my hair out.

I need to allow extra users to access the server using NXclient,
