If the domain is in your Manager then you friend could create a Nic Handle and you could transfer it to him using the Contacts Management, http://help.ovh.co.uk/ManagingContacts

It will (as far as I know) be billing you for the domain.

You can ofcourse refuse to pay until your friend pays you

With regard to controling the domain. Specifying nameservers that he has control over is the best way to offer him control. In effect you are his registrar.

A friend got a domain name from me, I registered it from OVH, I entered his name as contact etc,

Does it go into my manager as i registered it for him or does it give him an account so he can manage the domain himself?

Dont we have any control over his domain? What if his domain name expires, does he get billed for it or me?
