The RPS is different to a VPS, because the RPS is your own server, your own processor, RAM. Only the storage is shared on a SAN, the design of it can be found here http://www.ovh.co.uk/individual/prod...unctioning.xml

You can offer vps on any system.

The 'better' processors will offer more performance advantages with the extra virtualisation features. Some virtulisation software may not be working without these features. But some will.
