Hello,
- The link Brussels / Frankfurt
The 495km of optical fiber between Brussels and Frankfurt are in place
and we will make site visits in the week. We look
delivery of equipment for the infinite distance along with its 100Gbps
transportation capacity (10x10Gbps). In fact, all about 70km,
the optical signal must be amplified and therefore there is little datacentres "
all 70km where we put our equipment to strengthen the signal.
At Frankfurt, we arrived at the site Ancotel one of the sites
largest Frankfurt. This will allow us to establish
private peering more easily with other operators without necessarily
DECIX use. It is believed that the link will be operational between March 5-10.
- We will soon look to propose offers of housing to
Frankfurt with very attractive offer in terms of bandwidth,
power available in the bay and the price.
- Through the establishment of the Brussels / Frankfurt, we are going
Live our datacentres Roubaix / Brussels / Frankfurt instead of Roubaix
Paris / Frankfurt. Thus, we have long latencies lower in DE
but more capacity. Indeed, currently we have only
2x10Gbps between Paris / Frankfurt and we had to build roads to
not saturate the link. For example, some networks of DE, we see via
AMSIX, the private peering via Paris or Sfinx. All this should improve
during the month of March with capacity 40GBP connected Roubaix and
Frankfurt, upgradeable to 100Gbps in a few days.
- A private peering is being renovated with UPC in Vienna and Zurich. Already on peer
cableopérateur with this and given the amount of bandwidth, we prefer
private peering pass on these 2 sites.
- Connection to DTAG is correct. With the arrival of the Roubaix / Frankfurt
we will use mainly on our 10Gbps Frankfurt instead of
Paris. We will study the establishment of a 3rd 10Gbps with DTAG in
the coming weeks.

Hello,

- The Brussels / Frankfurt link
The 495km of optical fiber between Brussels and Frankfurt are in place and we will visit sites in the week. We are waiting for the delivery of long distance equipment from Infinera with its 100Gbps of transport capacity (10x10Gbps). In fact, every about 70km, the optical signal must be amplified and therefore there are small "datacentres " every 70km where we are going to put our equipment to strengthen the signal. In Frankfurt, we arrived at the Ancotel site, which is one of the largest sites in Frankfurt. This will allow us to establish private peering more easily with other operators without necessarily using DECIX. We think that the link will be operational between 5th and 10th March.

- We will soon look to propose housing offers in Frankfurt with very attractive offer in terms of bandwidth, power available in the rack and the price.

- Through the establishment of the Brussels / Frankfurt network, we are going to go directly through our Roubaix / Brussels / Frankfurt datacentres instead of Roubaix Paris / Frankfurt. Thus, we have lower latencies time in DE but also more capacity. Indeed, currently we have only 2x10Gbps between Paris / Frankfurt and we had to build roads not to saturate this link. For example, some DE networks, we see them via AMSIX, the private peering in Paris or via Sfinx. All this should be improved in March with 40GBP capacity connected between Roubaix and Frankfurt, upgradeable to 100Gbps in a few days.

- A private peering is being renovated with UPC in Vienna and Zurich. We already peer with this cable operator and given the amount of bandwidth, we prefer going through private peering on these 2 sites.

- Connection to DTAG is correct. With the arrival of the Roubaix / Frankfurt network we will mainly use our 10Gbps in Frankfurt instead of Paris. We will study the establishment of a 3rd 10Gbps with DTAG in the coming weeks.
