Are you running Ubuntu Desktop? If so you will not have the permission directly to edit them, this guide will explain how you do though,

Hello, i did not see this discussion anywhere else.
I have noticed a problem when i am trying to run Apache server, the files in the FILE SYSTEM folder are all read only, and the owner being root.
I have not info to the Root so I can not edit those.. hence I can not edit my Apache server, everytime I need to edit a file it says that you are not the owner and do not have permission to do that.
just wondering, can anyone help?
