Sounds like you're getting the right speed, but as I said, it can often get overloaded when other people do tests too. It's probably only on 1Gbps, no more than that.

I'm getting ready to post a guide on how to do a proper speed test in a moment. It also has links to several files you can use for testing too.

Then again:

wget ftp://ftp.ovh.net/test.bin

100%[========================================>] 104,857,600 9.63M/s

freshwire

http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/...86-netinst.iso

That usually gives me good speed even on kimsufi.

100%[====================================>] 157,204,480 11.23M/s

That server is probably overloaded as a lot of people will be using it to test their server. Use one you KNOW won't be overloaded, like a Microsoft download server. Please people, listen!

That only tests inside OVH, which isn't what people want. People only seem to have "issues" downloading outside OVH's network...

Try this:

Code:
wget http://testmeplease-eu.s3.amazonaws.com/100mb.bin
When I do this from /dev/shm I usually reach 12MB/s+

You're actually better off downloading several things at once from several locations such as Microsoft, who have extremely good reliable external bandwidth. Thats the best way to do it. A single thread will often NOT max out 100Mbps, people forget this...

gigabit

Using any type of public speedtest service isnt a great idea on dedicated servers, these speedtests are normally only intended for home users to try out their connections and are probably only run on servers with 100mbit ports themselves. Try downloading something from sourceforge, say mysql for example (something at least 30MB in size), its what i do and i can easily download at the full 100mbit speed my server has.

It is set up as RAID0. You need to follow the link above to "fix" this.

can you explain me step by step how to make test at my server with this http://prace.ovh.pl/. ?

Try www.numion.com much better and accurate than speedtest.net.
