I love you, we low priority users have to stick together :P

it doesn't cost me any money for ovh. but the ping is bad and the
latence are bad too.
Can you try to talk to them again to see if they will change to LINX? I would like a better ping.

7tbps is what unity will have ( googles) and I guess is much better than most of the old cables already installed years ago

LOL True though, as great as OVH is I don't think a sea bed cable is going to happen anytime soon and especially not to the UK :P Maybe North America at some point )

Oles, there are NO problems with VM, we just don't like that they use DTAG and not LINX. Waste of money and higher latency. VM don't listen to advise.

VM use a transit link via Frankfurt so I wouldn't bet on it. They for some reason refuse to peer via LINX.

Holy cow. Hopefully my speeds to my box will finally increase. Virgin Media suck

When will OVH become an ISP ?

stupid question: are you using a dedicated wire/f optic from roubaix to london to try to achieve this?

Nah i say stick to eu at least then it keeps its current customers happy

Hello,
Tomorrow morning, from 8:00 am, we'll work
on the Roubaix / London. The aim is to establish and
test link Proprietary 100Gbps between our datacentres to
Roubaix Valley and London. If it works, we will be able
manage bandwidth to London, connecting the
new transit links from London and connecting
London routers routers to our datacentres (vss-X for
who begin to know our routing below).

Normally it should be fine, but it has as
goal Friday that it works. Pending completion of
work, we will work on 1x10G (using the other
pair of fiber already in production for the connections between our
datacentre Roubaix / Lille and London).

London and Amsterdam will work with the current 2 sites
Release very important in our network compared
Northern Europe and the USA / Canada / South America. These 2 sites
have the same configuration that we will have a
geographic redundancy. If the site is facing down, it passes
the other hand, if the link is down, it goes through the other
side.

Later (in 2010), we will secure these 2 sites with them
a direct London / Amsterdam. For this, we need to sell
few servers before (or braque a bank). It's up to you
play at that level (if you know a bank ...)

That is, there is "step-1" before any investment is
past 6 months is finally in place. Still a bit and will view
comprehensive and give you all the work (very) heavy.
Ovh can sell its services in all countries (not just
11 countries, and with the ban to other countries, we must
yet found a way to secure the payment ...).

Our network Europe:
http://weathermap.ovh.net/europe
Zoom network (backbone only):
http://weathermap.ovh.net/backbone

Ok, that advance.

Amicalement

with the other countries being "banned", we still need to find a way for secure payments...).
