is there no limit on internal bandwidth at all and will it stay that way?

I assume internal bandwidth just means OVH -> OVH right?

is bandwidth gaurenteed ?

Sorry for my Spelling mistakes.

It will apply to expensive OVH.co.uk servers only.

Yes, the B/W resets at the end of each month. Would be silly if it didn't wouldn't it.

You can pay for up to 12 months in advance.

Internal bandwidth will never have any cost - It doesn't cost OVH anything to offer.

OVH -> OVH means internal, yes.

Yes, bandwidth is guaranteed to the Internet when you are within your traffic allowance.

What people don't understand is with a 10gbps connection you can probably single handedly destroy the internet infastructure of a small country like Lichenstein.

yes. 10Gbps it's not a toy for kids. you can kill someone with

you have LOT OF hosting compagnies which haven't > 10Gbps of
connexion to Internet ! you have n°1 in IT with 12Gbps/15Gbps !!
have a look on the Internet and ask your ISP/hosting compagny
what is the global Internet connexion they have.

If you need 10Gbps you have a VERY stable server. the only one
which is VERY stable server in Ovh, it's the HG. lot at this:
http://www.ovh.co.uk/products/hg_2009.xml
how we did that it's so stable.

10Gbps it's for a special PRO market. if you want make the iSCSI/NFS
with VPS you need a very good connexion to all your servers. 10Gbps
is the anwser for this need.

Ovh has > 500Gbps (!!) to Internet. So we can propose 10Gbps/server.

Its a shame you cant add it on the EG range,id be so tempted specialy if there wasnt a setup fee,but i do see why and understand why you have the setup as its not a kiddies line

Is this 199 per server?

Dirt cheap doesn't describe 10Gbps for £199, I pay about £30 for 30/2Mbps, so that comes down to being £19.90 for 1/1Gbps nice one OVH, no one else does more than 1Gbps, which is rare and very, very expensive

Drool... And seriously, £199 a month is dirt cheap when you truly are in need of this. With VPS, which I'll be deploying, this is a welcome addition. Thanks OVH!

Hello,
If you have a HG 2009, you can request the option "10Gbps"
that allows you to have a 3rd NIC in your server.
Thus, in addition to 2x1Gbps you 10Gbps between your server
and the network of Ovh. com.

Thus, you are connected together on a special network of all
10Gbps server and you can really share at 10Gbps. It is
therefore a very attractive option when you make many
VPS servers with SQL and you want quality in the network
(10Gbps ports have the "backplane" to 10Gbps, therefore you can
10Gbps actually on the network). With SAS disks / SSD
it actually happens more than 7-8Gbps without any problem.

The option costs 199Euro HT / month (installation costs 199Euro HT).
We wanted the affordable option (operators often charge
port 10Gbps 5-10KE installation ...).

If you want more than 200Mbps of bandwidth to the Internet,
you still have options "unmetered / unlimited" up to 1Gbps
warranty. The "3Gbps guarantee" will arrive shortly. To take advantage
3Gbps of only the "default route" change on the server ...
So the option is fully compatible with all already HG 2009
in production.

Pages arrive.

Amicalement

Good morning,

If you have an HG 2009, you can request the option "10 Gbps"
which allows you to have a 3rd network card in your server. This way,
apart from the 2 x 1Gbps, you'll have 10Gbps between your server
and the OVH.com network.

So, you'll be also connected to a special network with all the 10Gbps
servers and you can truly exchange data at 10Gpbs. This is then an option
very interesting when you do lots of VPS with SQL servers and you want very
good network quality (the ports can really work at 10Gbps so that's the real
speed to the network). With the SAS/SSD disks, you'll really go over 7-8Gbps
without much problem.

This option costs £199/month+VAT (plus installation costs of £199+VAT). We
wanted this option to be affordable (operators often charge the 10Gbps port
at £5-10K for the installation....).

If you wish more than 200Mbps bandwidth to Internet, you always have the option
"unmetered/unlimited" till 1 Gbps guaranteed. The "3Gbps guaranteed" will arrive
shortly. To take advantage of 3 Gbps you won't have to change the default route in
the server .... so the option is totally compatible with all the HG 2009 already in
production.

Sincerely,
Octave
