You can order hostings or register domains as a US customer, which is why you were able to create the account.

Thanks for telling me. ovh.com allowed me to order it and pick "United States" from the list and even processed my payment without telling me. What connection issues are there? Do you expect to provide service to the US anytime soon?

Edit: I can login using the NIC that was in the email subject(confirming my order being processed) and my password. It doesn't show that I have ordered anything.

RPS's should be set up within 1-24 hours. I don't think there is any backlog on them. If payment processed straight away and they have 1 hour servers in stock you should have it within the hour.

I should point out that renewal dates are set to the date the server is deployed, not the date of first payment.

right guys you know im reading all these messages and i see all your points however i have 3 servers with ovh and i have never had a problem with them they have already said they did not expect the high demand and this is the result.

people need to stop the moaning grow up and wait as for the people telling you differant things then maybe you are right but just think of the pressure they have just been put under they only trying to help maybe you should all think bout this before *****ing...

I understand that it would put you in a bad mood yes, but using that mood and taking it out on other people will not get you your server any quicker.

Can I suggest you simply wait a few days. Maybe ring support once a day to find out the status of your order. Your bad mood will make people less willing to help you. I'm more than willing to help anyone providing I do not get given any abuse. I know I can't help with the server deployment problems but I will try to help in any other way I can.

I ordered the server almost a week ago and payment was confirmed some 84 hrs ago, but still there is no sign of the server. I decided to go with the basic one to test service/speed etc before I decide to migrate my current servers over, but at this rate it doesn´t inspire a lot of confidence in a new customer

This is really starting to irritate me! If they can not keep up with demands, then why not shut down the ability to purchase a server??? Process the ones that have been waiting more than the 72 hours that was promised first.

I understand you totally, I was told to keep an eye on OVH.com as a rough guide, however the servers have gone from 200 in 72 hrs to 121 now and I see from time to time 3 or 4 popup in 1hr but they quickly go.

Hope it is worth the wait...

It is unusual, I have about 5 or 6 servers here and most of them were set up within an hour or two of ordering. I noticed that this time the website said 0 servers with 1 hour setup and 250 with 72 hour setup - I just wanted to check really.

They must be very busy at the moment.
