AFAIK, you cannot implicitly assign a failover IP as the primary IP. You could try, of course - there's always the vKVM in case it goes kaplooey
Anything in particular you're trying to accomplish? Perhaps there's a different way of doing it...

Not much else on it, you'll have to bind the failover ip to the server as the primary ip.

People have had a very hard time doing it but I'm pretty sure they were successful. I'll scan the forum for you and see what I find.

Wondering if this was possible? Would it mean just changing it over to be eth0 and putting in the rest of the details in there?
