Ah, I had some fun with this last month...

This bit means that 199 sectors have been marked as bad, and the HD is using spare sectors for them instead.

And this shows that it currently has one more sector the HD has trouble reading from. If it can read from it at a later time, or data can successfully be written to it, then this will disappear. On the other hand, if it cannot do any of this with success, then it will also be marked bad and replaced.

This is the error I had to deal with on my 2nd HD last month and will certainly cause read/write errors. In my case, the RAID1 setup went into a sort of limp mode by suspending the 2nd HD as it discovered inconsistencies during a resync. Such is the usefulness of RAID1: keeps your server up and running.

I could correct the issue (requiring a full format of the physical HD), but then I did not have 199 sectors marked as bad -- this is something of a worry IMHO.

I would raise a support ticket through OVH's Manager with the information you've just provided (we, and by that I mean OVH customers, can only share our knowledge and not assist with support). Or, wait until tomorrow morning and give them a call.

P.S.: It seems you're using a Kimsufi server. The Kimsufi forum is located at http://forum.kimsufi.co.uk/ - this would mean you don't have RAID setup.

Could some of you guys see if there is any problem with this test result for the harddrive.
Been getting some read/write errors so i ran the tests in rescue mode and the only errors were on the harddrive
