It took the technical team 4 days to realize (1 reply per day...end of day that too) that they cant do anything and then made an incident report...now the weekend is coming and I still can't almost 500GB of MY DATA off the FTP...its ridiculous OVH, what kind of system limits internal bw to a users FTP like this?

You have no idea how insane this drives me, its just a bigger pain in the a** for everyone, and makes literally no difference. I've seen a few double rared 100% legal movies as well, and what sucked was that the outermost archives were separate zips, so they needed to be unzipped individually (though highlighting them all and pressing extract did the trick ).

Same trouble here, I've emailed Customer Support, hope it works.

I don't see why there has to be any restriction?

Could you provide us with the server name, please? I've seen a few cases in the past and I would like to find out if OVH ash really something to do with it.

Could I, by any chance, have a ssh console access to your server and a file to download from the FTP backup server so I can do the speed tests myself?

Filetypes? Can you not just do some juggling on the file names

the 'chat with support' was not helpful.

they limit the filetypes you can backup, according to them.

get 3rd party backup that ovh has no control over.

This happens when you've been blocked from the server, I believe. It allows connections but kills your speed. A chat with support should get them to resolve it.

You are not the only one with ftpback13 issues... for a short while while testing I was getting between 10-30MB/sec (MB not Mb).... then, hours later when ready to go to backup all fails with ridiculous speed, even now get constant Stalls and .5-10K/sec max.... tried various clients, chunk sizes etc...

(yes gig-e box)

I've this same problem only 1kkB/s.
But only on OVH server, but on kimsufi is normal (9MB/s - 11MB/s).
Maybe fault is in connection server OVH <-> ftpback13.ovh.net???

Hm... i'm getting 10MB/s. When in doubt, blame OVH.
