Wonder why the HD on my SP BestOf is faster than the EG High in cached reads?

The figures you should care about more for SSDs are random reads and writes, those all look like sequential.

Hello,

Deliveries of EG SSD have started. You are very numerous
to order this reference and we do not hide it happen
not to keep delivery times short. There is really a boom
at EG SSD and we're pleasantly surprised, but totally
Helpless meet your volume orders. We made the most of the Intel
and Supermicro for parts but ... has not provided much
servers even in our wildest dreams.
Well, in all cases it is the maximum and you'll say all right
the harm you think of OVH about deliveries EG SSD ... and we
not even talking about the SP SSD happens very shortly and which we feel
already, will be the future boooombbaaaa (if there are parts ...). In short, it will
grumble at OVH for a few weeks ...

Regards
Octave

And what the EG SSD? It's ... bombaaa

Intel Xeon W3520 (i7 aka Nehalem) with 8x2.67GHz with Hyper-Threading
with 12GB of DDR3 RAM (3x4Go RAM, 3 buses, everything is calculated by 3 on the i7)
as a hard drive with Intel SSD X25-M 2x 80GB in raid 1 soft default
(raid-0 optional LSI RAID card option, etc. etc. etc. ...)
with the switchport 1Gbps (KVM firewall option) with 4 IP (more optional)

99.99Euro for HT / month (49.99Euro installation costs)

The performance of Intel's SSD with respect to the SATA2 1.5T/750Go:
# Hdparm-tT / dev/sda1
/ dev/sda1:
Timing cached reads: 33000 MB in 1.99 seconds = 16596.21 MB / sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 622 MB in 3.01 seconds = 206.99 MB / sec

and 1.5TB SATA disks qu'Ovh proposes EG High
# Hdparm-Tt / dev/sda1
/ dev/sda1:
Timing cached reads: 13494 MB in 1.99 seconds = 6784.06 MB / sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 378 MB in 3.01 seconds = 125.69 MB / sec

and disks 750GB SATA2 qu'Ovh proposes EG BestOf
# Hdparm-Tt / dev/sda1
/ dev/sda1:
Timing Cached reads: 12448 MB in 1.99 seconds = 6256.86 MB / sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 248 MB in 3.01 seconds = 82.39 MB / sec

If not just for visual pleasure
