Something I discovered is that you have to make sure that port 80 (if thats the port you're running on) is open in the firewall. You have to do it manually because the software won't do it for you (on Windows it won't even fire up if the port is blocked).

The IP described there is obviously wrong, it should be the IP of your server not a LAN IP (and the LAN IP isn't always the same )

Gonna need a bit of help from any linux0rs that no a bit about it..

Basically im following this tutorial:

http://www.howtoforge.com/lighttpd_php5_mysql_centos5.0

The problem is when i get the the part of the tutorial that says:

Now direct your browser to http://192.168.0.100, and you should see the Lighttpd placeholder page

And i dont get anything come up even after following the steps correctly and no i didnt use that ip to try and get to the page :P.
