It has improved quite a bit since about the 15th. This is from Herndon, Virginia (Usually the Washington, DC entry point).

PS: These aren't ping response times

I was just confirming that speeds to the US had been particularly bad recently - I'm not sure if they still are. It is true that OVH don't guarantee speeds outside certain countries - it is very cheap bandwidth so to be expected really.

Are you guys who are still posting read that?

Try doing a TraceRoute to see if there is a couple of Hops causing problems?

I can confirm that speeds to the USA have been terrible over the last few days

sometimes touch about 500kb/sec to me too.. but very unstable.. most of the time stay under 100kb/sec!!! and it's unusefull at this speed... gigabit try to keep the download active for a minute or so.. anyway depend.. some minutes goes a bit better.. some worse.. i have a mysql replication application wich take 27 seconds to download 2.3 mbyte...

Download speed ~500KBs, ping ~100ms.

Same for me. Extremely variable and unstable speed. The lowest it got to was around 50KB/s and the highest around 400KB/s. This is on my RPS.

pingint this ovh.net switch from my ovh servers (wich are not under bandwidth low priority (i use no more than 1.5mb/sec x server.. and i have 5 servers..)
it give me 100% packet return.. but crazy latency... that's probably because from external location then i get packet loss.. ?

hi i have some server in washington and since some weeks the speed between al my ovh server and washington server has been really slow..
i mean.. to download a small mysql log of 700 kb it takes about 15 seconds!

you can do yourself some speed tests..
http://www.softlayer.com/facilities_wdc.html

http://www.wdc01.softlayer.com/downloads/test.zip
http://www.wdc01.softlayer.com/downloads/test100.zip

in some minutes the connection touch 300kb.. but then goes also under 30kb/sec and start very slow!

a ping to the location also showed 6/7% packet loss

--- 208.43.118.51 ping statistics ---
100 packets transmitted, 94 received, 6% packet loss, time 99112ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 87.478/97.490/101.941/3.285 ms

i have some applicance distribuited worldwide wich cannot run because this slow/bugged connection

please could someone from ovh give me some advice/ETA for resultion?
regards,
Francesco
