You can see what is going wrong and fix it seeing how you don't have any remote access since something is broken.

Whats the benefit of being able to see the screen tho? ... Isn't it linux with no GUI package installed? :s

this is giving me quite a big headache :/

In the manager, find Netboot, and change it to vKVM, then do a hard reboot. After that an e-mail will be sent within 30 minutes with login information.

Hmm, how do I use vKVM???

Tried vKVM so you can see the screen?

24/7 support is on the books to begin in the next few weeks from what Oles has told us.

Ah well *IF* they had phone support 24/7 .. or even for at least a few hours on weekend it would be fine.

But as my server has been messed up for almost a full 24 hours now and theres simply no one to give me an answer as to why or how to fix it I am stuffed

I'm on a Kimsufi myself and support is generally fine. Fastest support is best by phoning not e-mail. I guess the only way to find out if its fine or not is to try it for a month. I can almost safely say it will be though given that streaming and storage is not resource intensive.

Not sure on server load tbh, been a while since i checked and cant check as RPS is all f'ed up

Strike this, support is awful as it is... just noticed kimsufi don't have level 1 or 2

What is your current server load? A celeron should easily run Shoutcast and backup/storage.

Just thought i would throw this out there see what people think.

I am debating upgrading (once its actually working and back online :@) from RPS 2 to the Kimsurfi C-05G, around 4 more but ton more disk and ram, however it means a cut from 2x 1.66 cpu to 1.2Gbhz single. :/

Thoughts? I am running it as a Shoutcast Streaming server and backup/storage.

Would be good to get peoples thoughts on if it would be fine or not before i spend on a server :/

Cheers
Dan
