Wrong info for C-05G cpu?

22-12-2009, 11:27

The reason is..... for those of you that remember we offered other Kimsufi's in the past, these servers have been moved into the C-05G range, however we cannot offer it on the website because we cannot guarantee these servers and also there is little of them and the main stock is the Celeron.

Wow! I wouldn't complain,
I'll check mine tomorrow!

this happens sometimes.
~ # grep CPU /proc/cpuinfo
model name : Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2180 @ 2.00GHz
model name : Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2180 @ 2.00GHz
~ # grep AMD /proc/cpuinfo
vendor_id : AuthenticAMD
model name : AMD Athlon(tm) Processor LE-1660

just say thank you, and keep the server close to you.
~ # uptime
21:12:12 up 69 days, 9:53, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00
~ # uptime
21:14:37 up 11 days, 23:48, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00

not going to let these to expire =P

I got a Q6700 instead of a Q6600 on my Q-1T No complaints here.

The advertised speed is 1.20+ GHz.

I would say you got 4x what you paid for

21-12-2009, 18:29
Cool mine has A Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.80GHz

it does say 1.20+ GHz
so you will get at least that much.

cat /proc/cpuinfo

Put that command in and it will give details about your CPU. But yeah, my C-05G has a 3GHz Pentium 4.

21-12-2009, 18:01
So basically I am lucky that I got a processor which is more than double advertised?

21-12-2009, 17:57
With the lower end servers they sometimes give out the higher spec from the old range...

21-12-2009, 17:35
Ok, I recently ordered a C-05G server and on the kimsufi page it shows the CPU as a single core 1.6GHz. and yet plesk is reporting it to be a dual core 2GHz processor?

Not that I am complaining it's just as I am considering reselling it would be good to know what is the actual spec....
