not sure.

the way routing works right now:

ripe ip assigned to a VPS

ripe failover gateway = host machine ip (proxmox). host machine ip = UK ip.

how long do ripe ips take to become "geographically aware?"

all my old ripes resolve great - a whois search shows me the correct country (e.g. italy etc), if i'm browsing on the server it'll take me to the localised homepages based on the ip.

but new ranges i don't know. for e.g. i purchased some UK + irish ips over 3 weeks ago. the ripe whois shows the correct info, but running any geomapping tools retrieves ovh france, browsing websites show all the french sites, and a standard whois search shows me ovh france as the ip location.

i miss ip failovers. any idea how long it should take for ips to reflect the correct ripe country?
