Trying to do it via the vKVM is asking for trouble unfortunately, since it's an "emulated" environment. That is, it uses you actual HDs but not your server environment - so you end up with a misconfigured OS (incorrect drivers loaded, etc).

Hi Marks,

I was attempting to install Debian using a netinst ISO via vKVM having a few probs doing it without a GUI :s

have you tried Lilo instead? It's the default boot loader that we provide with our Debian distribution.

Put grub on /dev/hda

Now Grub installer is stuck at 50%!

Anyone have this issue before?
