For a 1Gbps test server, I got 66MBps so KBps is not normal. Something must be looked at here. If you send as the details, I'm sure we'll this can be fixed and find out what's going on.

Considering that it's been a MINIMUM of five months since i last logged in to FTP, and the FTP back then is just as it is now, the 'time of day' is pretty irrelevant.

either way, i've gone outside of OVH to get backup storage that i know will actually work at a speed greater than 0KB/s. don't worry about it, i don't feel like running around in 400 circles to get a "ITS YOUR FAULT" response.
I got capped when I was recovering data my from OVH Ftp-->OVH server some months ago...I can't see why getting data from your OWN ftp on the local LAN would trigger some sort of limitation, and this was back when there were no GB limits, and mine was a PRO Premium box

Did you try uploading at different times? You're not trying to backup at "0 0 * * *" are you?

By the way I checked in the ticket system but don't see a ticket about this...

by dialup, I mean, 28.8kbps dialup on a noisy phone line with an internet provider who runs all of their gateways on floppy booted 486 machines.

I ended up going outside OVH for web space just because I know it won't be as ****ing pathetic as their backup service.

note that I reported this issue to them almost one year ago now.

You're lucky you've got dialup.

I have to print the contents of my server off and store them in a drawer.

I'm on the FTPback13.ovh.net server - I'm trying to upload some backups so I can format my server and yet, it appears to be connected to the OVH network with dialup.
