The Red Sea shipwreck dive videos look great.
They were fun to make as well. Diving in the Channel can be fun as well and Ireland has some excellent wreck diving.

Yes, a Diagnosis check is about to be done on the server.

Thansk for your support. These kind of actions give me a good feeling about the extra server that I ordered yesterday. And more servers to come :-)

it is in rescue mode. Can support verify the connection. I don't have a SSH client here.

Nope.

And rightly so really.

Login via SSH and issue the following commands:
ifconfig eth0
ethtool eth0

That should return some useful information about the network card and the speeds it's connecting at.

I did log on the the WinPE and did see my disks. But I really don't know what I should do?

Hey Fozle,
much appreciated because we aren't getting through to the telephone support in France. All lines are busy.

Hi,

Yesterday one of our servers was down (ns207960.ovh.net - 94.23.217.126 - EC Best Of 2009 - Windows Server 2008 64 bits). After 8 hours a technician from OVH replaced the NIC (different card type bts). The server was accessible again.

I logged on and noticed that I only had a 100 Mpbs connection, not 1Gbps. I updated the driver to the latest version but that didn't help either. The driver comes with diagnostics. I ran those and received a message saying that the cable was too long. It was measured at over 250 meters. Only 100 meters is supported for that NIC according to the error message.
This seems to me either a NIC issue, a cable issue or a switch port issue.

I rebooted the server and now it is not connecting at all.

The only thing support does is put the server in winrescue mode, what doesn't help me at all. I cannot change the nic, cable or switch in rescue mode.

This is a server located in France (I'm from Belgium), but it would be great if someone of the English support team could trigger their French counter parts to look into this.

The incident number is 385168.

Thanks,

Peter
