It seems OVH have jumped the gun - OVH Manager doesn't provide enough functionality to warrant these Servers - no stock Linux Distro installs, broken vKVM, Windows stuck without being able to be installed with stock Raid0 (So you effectively have a partition sitting there doing nothing)..

Well the manager would have to edit the bios... I don't see this being doable. You could probably do it with a real KVM.

You could install an OVH distro to the SSD, copy that to the Sata and use netboot to boot the sata with an ovh kernel. Then format the ssd to your spec.

this sucks bigtime i want the system on the rotating drives.. i dont want the ssds to be occupied with system things and to get all the space of thoose small ssds.. cant understand why ure no able to install system too any drive u like.. cant be that damn hard to fix the manager so we can choose our selves which drives containing the system..

@micke: I had attempted this but I don't see it being possible.

If you configured the /boot partition to be on the ssd and the main partition to be on rotating discs then you may have a chance at this.

You would at very least need the boot loader installed to the MBR of the ssd since that is the boot device in the bios.
