I've installed netcat.

The server is resold and I was not aware of the files. I'll remove them immediately.

It's now five days since I submitted a ticket about this (444728). I had a reply the same day asking me to run some tests, which I did within an hour. I've heard nothing since.

Is anyone actually dealing with this? Some sort of update would be nice.

Mine's still unacceptably slow and showing no real improvement.

I've had no updates on progress or an ETA for a fix either.

vss1-1-6k and vss1-2-6k were red earlier (100% usage), things seemed to have improved.

http://status.ovh.net/ <-- Might be that OVH are solving the problem?

I noticed my upload speed is finally in double digit mbit.

Well Marc/Marks, so far you've not really done much to help me except ask me for tracerts/ping tests/speedtest for 7days, I don't really call that effective support. And saying an ISP has 'only' 1Gbps peering doesn't mean it can only push 200KB/s. I've proved to you that even on your internet network to demo.ovh.com and to the ftp backup ovh provides the speeds are worse...so say what you want, I'm not at all satisfied.

I've just given you 3 network speed tests plus multiple back and forth FTP speed tests to NL FTPs. AGAIN confirming everything I've told you.

I hope your so called Grand Master of Whatever can fix this.

We've received this error report just a few minutes before I replied to your email. But this problem is just now. It would be good that this issue with 91.121.0.0/16 network to be sorted before looking further into it, but the situation I've described in your ISP (having just 1Gbps peering into NL-IX compared to 10Gbps for OVH) still apply.

Once this issue with 91.121.0.0/16 is sorted, we'll check it again

uh...wow.

I have no ticket number, but my case is in support being handled by "Marc" who just keeps asking me for more info for a week now and tomorrow is the weekend which means nothing will happen. My support email has the subject "Network speed". I should've raised an incident ticket, I'd have probably got quicker response.

Why wasn't Marc informed there was an issue with 91.121.x.x ? He could have told me so days ago. Here I am desperately trying to keep things moving with barely any upload from my server, all my work has come to a standstill and I had asked that I be given a new server or I wanted my money back for the next payment cycle that I had done in advance.

You guys need to better organize yourself, would sending out a mass mail stating that we might face speed issues have been so difficult? Disappointing and I definitely want compensation for a weeks worth of almost negligible upload speed.

It doesn't, and I wondered the same thing myself.

Turns out that the screen shots there are out of date. When you log in to the GUI test interface at http://your.server.ip.address:81 you'll see the Network test under the Processors and Memory tests.

SP Mini with 5 TB traffic at 100mbps, not unmetered/low-priority. Traffic used at the time of the incident was in the region of 500 GB. Therefore, transit traffic should be at full speed.

This is a recent issue. Up until about two or three days ago there were no problems on any routes.

I'll post some traceroute output later, but right now support have asked me to reboot in Rescue Mode (graphic) to test the network.

*edit*
In any case, the priority/traffic-allowance should only apply to outgoing traffic shouldn't it?

Bleh...more often than not, Support aren't much help...today is no different.

After days of back and forth, basically "Nothing is the problem".

I tried everything, tracert, speed tests, in OS, in rescue mode...upload is totally negligible on my server.

oles, maybe you can convince your support team to maybe just let me have another server and I can maybe move the contents over? then just disable my old server, I've already paid till June 17th

It was the DNS problem and solved it by replacing the OVH DNS server with the OpenDNS server - won't help with the speed problem you're showing above though.

Tz-OVH, Layeredtech aren't known for having a great network... Savvis being their only provider doesn't help.

Got fobbed off by OVH, very poor customer services with this issue, rarely replied to support ticket and when they did it was to give us some irrelevant "french" tutorial.

Very disappointed especially when we have over 10 dedicated servers with them and are a loyal customer, fair enough its weekend but they should have staff to cover at weekend not just ignore us.

Took our helper 5-10 mins to sort out OVH DNS problem for us, Just wish OVH could have been as helpful.

Again very disappointed.

This is terrible, I even gave it a bit of time to stabilize!

Didn't have any problems but you can always use the OpenDNS servers?

Hi all,

Any one been having trouble with OVH DNS? I can ping it, but can't seem to 'use' it. I had to add 8.8.8.8 and 2nd DNS address to be able to access any sites. Nothing would resolve via cmd either.

Speeds today are also terrible to USA, Finland, etc. Though a test file from .de works out at near 100mbit.
