No. It takes time because it has to be checked by someone at OVH to prove you're not using it for disallowed uses eg a dedicated IRC IP etc. Its not allowed so someone has to check it. You'll find it the same at all hosts.

I don't see why you would want to but you can simply stop using it or remove it from your servers configuration.
but will i be able to remove the ip fail over from my server?
The "Fail Over IP" is essentially a second IP but with a difference, if you have two or more servers you can quickly switch the IP between the servers.
Perfect if you don't want to wait for DNS's to update etc.
You can use the as you like if you only have one server.
Hey, what is an IP Fail over? i noticed that i can set one up in the Manager but i would like to know what it does. If i setup an ip fail over will my servers main ip be the fail over ip? will i be able to use the fail over ip for remote desktop?
Will i be able to use the fail over ip for my game server which currently uses the normal ip?
also will the fail ip always stay the same?
is it possible to remove the fail over?
final question: when i accept the fail over setup on the manager, will it be setup instantly?
Thanks
