we've got some customers that use them for streaming (as long as it doesn't use disk access very intensively). In this case, they take more than one RPS to do the job, as the intervention times for RPS are not that good for a 24/7 service. Then, with several RPSes, the infrastructure is duplicated.
Also, it's a fully functional server with a normal Linux or Windows installation and very cheap, so it can be use for developement, just playing with it, monitoring servers, ....
