Domain .Eu is free
Seems this offer is only for the uk site......:-( at least from the germany site doesn't work. Are this kind of offers targeted only for the UK? if so I think it's not fair with the rest of OVH family;-)

In order to get the free offer, you have to go through the main page, ovh.co.uk, and selet your domain name there.
Then you will be asked if you want to get a free 1 year offer.
EXACT problem I had, lucky I worked it out.
I mean under reverse for my kimsufi in my manger i get the error "Cannot resolve NS query. Try again later!". According to this page
http://help.ovh.co.uk/PointingToDNS I have to point to dns11.ovh.net, which I've done.

It should be active within 30 minutes. You may have to log out and back into the manager for it to appear on the domain name list.

in the process you have to choose "I want a free domain". It's 1
per customer.

derchris,
Go to
www.ovh.co.uk, enter a domain name and select the .eu ending, then follow the process for getting a domain. This is how I did it. If it doesn't work for you that way then they could be out of free domains.
and my friends just got one totally free aswell thank you ovh

Hi There,
We propose 1000 domains .EU free of charge. 1 domain per customer.
If you want to test Ovh as a registrar of domains or you want a
domain .EU for free, it's the right moment. There is no cost. And
you can use your domain with the hosting you want (Ovh or an another).
..EU is free during 1 year. Next year, you have the choice:
- to renew with Ovh for 5.99/year
- to transfer it to an another registrar
- no to renew
We propose only 1000 domains ! This action is stopped when we sold
1000 domains.
Have fun !
Regards,
Octave
