Just be careful you dont store any forbidden file types on your FTP Backup space otherwise OVH will throttle the hell out of it until they are removed

Check your FTP Login messages, if it is very slow then we have left you a message in the FTP backup Login process.

Thanks Neil but I wasn't left any message at any point on the banners, just the usual "Welcome to ftpback14"... etc. banner.

Speed is back up a bit now though (6-7MB/s), hope it wasn't anything serious

How do you mean? I'm uploading a 1.5GB gzip'd tarball - it used to be super fast up until a day or two ago..

I noticed in the OVH status that a few ftp backup servers have been failing recently, including ftpback14 but it's down as resolved:

Recently (today) I've noticed that transfers to the FTP backup server are woeful... around 30KB/s at best but usually stalled.

The server in particular I'm uploading to right now is ftpback14

Is something wrong with the backup servers?

Also does anyone know if the backup servers are RAIDed?
