I'll try a ticket, I'm just going to wait a bit, see if anyone else with similar addresses responds.

I checked my failover addresses with blacklisting tools before I got them. The ripe addresses I don't believe I got a choice on.

this support:

also, it might be you did not configure proper PTR or your IP got blacklisted by mistake ( or not? )

check the status of your IP here:

All the above are on one server

178.32.55.x fails
This is a separate server

icritical.preston.gov.uk fails on DNS resolution to what appears to be any domain I have that has a 178.32.48.x or 178.32.49.x name server.
quick workaround:
attach a failover from some other subnet and bind you mta to it...

proper solution: send mail to support

are you on a cloud?

it works for me
Code:
 telnet smtpin.tesco.net 25
Trying 81.103.221.10...
Connected to smtpin.tesco.net.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 ESMTP server ready
quit
221 aamtain07-winn.ispmail.ntl.com ESMTP server closing connection
Connection closed by foreign host.

I'm not sure if this is the case or not, I'm making assumptions here but is it possible that some corporate firewalls could actually be blocking OVH IP addresses, has anyone any experience of this?

As an example, here is one:
smtpin.tesco.net port 25

I can ping it but not telnet to port 25 from some of my servers on others I can telnet to port 25 fine.

178.32.x.x addresses seem to fail as well as 178.33.x.x
