Gabe, I think you would need to find a gateway for this IP address that would work. I have tried it but been unable to do it.

Im using Microsoft ISA Server 2006.

I've not come accross the ability to bind to an interface or IP but will do some research & post back with what I find.

Thanks for your help Palad1n

What application / proxy server are you using?

Does it have the ability to "BIND to an interface or IP"?

If so, you can set binding to the "Internal Loopback Adapter" or your 87.98.*.* IP.

Windows itself does not use Loopbacks well when trying to outbound.

I would like to configure my Windows Server 2003 server to use my UK 'fail over' IP address for outbound connections (ie as the primary IP address). As the fail over IP address uses a /32 subnet mask & there is no default gateway i don't know how i can do this.

The reason I wish to do this is so that outbound connections appear to come from the UK rather than France. The server is acting as a VPN & proxy server to control web access for my users, with the fixed IP address they are being redirected to French web content, eg www.google.com redirects to www.google.fr rather than www.google.co.uk.

Does anyone know if / how this can be done?

TIA,

Gabe
