done it on debian a while back, works fine.
keep in mind, they use lilo not grub.

Hey guys,
Looking to find out if anyone has a guide or could create one for recompiling our servers kernel back to the stock Centos one.
We have been having a lot of problems with some software due to the OVH custom kernel.
We are using soft raid aswell and really trying to avoid reinstalling as it is a live production server.
