Have you enabled the user home directories in your webserver? (I've never used plesk though.. is that default in plesk? as its not in apache2)

Guaranteed way would be to modify your hosts file. Set the domains to point to the future IPs.

Yes there is, but this previews the site on the original server, not whats on mine.

I have uploaded via FTP the html files of the site to the new domain I created. You should be able to view these files using ip/accountname, however it does not work. Is there something I need to change in Apache or the control panel?

Apparantly there should be a Site Preview option in Plesk.

As in the domain? or server?

The Domain was created using the create domain wizard, there are 13 domains in total. Apart from that the server runs Plesk and is pretty much as the default set up.

How is it set up?

Hi

I have a OVH dedicated server (Linux), I have set up a domain, but need to view/test the site before DNS records change from the old server.

I have been told you can use http:///~accountname but this does work and gives a 404 error.

Any ideas?
