Ubuntu 10.04 (or 9.10) on RPS?

27-11-2010, 15:26

After buying an RPS I needed to get it to a more recent version than hardy, my idea was first to go to lucid (10.04), which apparantly doesn't work, after do-release-upgrade the iscsi drives won't mount. My root folder is mounted ro, the /home not mounted at all (which is normal as it hasn't an errors= clause). Did anyone get this working? If so, please tell me how, I already tried installing the open-iscsi package before or after upgrading but that fails even more.

Now, if this isn't possible, is there anyway to go from 8.04 to 9.10 (hardy->karmic). Normally you should do hardy->intrepid->jaunty->karmic, which is dirty to start with, but now it's even impossible as intrepid is discontinued.

Thank you
