resizing centos 5.5 partition on a live server

Boot into rescue mode and do this:

It can take a little while to complete, and obviously you need to back up before doing it.

We mucked up one of our live servers on installation and kept the ovh default horrible 5gb partition, it is now causing us ALOT of problems and we need to do something about it.
