If anyone would really like 2 operating systems or an operating system not listed/supported by ovh on their server and have a spare £20 feel free to give me a shout

KVM is Keyboard Video Mouse across IP... so I'm guessing it's a virtual version

OVH doesn't support installing multiple OS's on the server but it can be done.
Please realise that you cannot access the boot menu without using vKVM, but even then you will have to reboot the box out of vKVM and will loose your choice.

The only ideal way of doing it would be to create multiple partitions and change which partition is bootable inside the current OS then reboot.

I do not think it will be a simple process and it will definitely require re-installing your box a few times due to screw ups but if you have free time on your hands and no important data go for it.

hello guys

I want to ask can I have two OS one one server

I know over here the only option here is to install only one server

But Can I partition the server hardisk

and install linux (my self) over my current OS (windos server 2003)

the new ubuntu version gives a new software called wubi that install ubuntu (linux) under windows and can be uninstall

in this page , the last lines under (Other Options)

http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/downloadmirrors

Wubi, the Ubuntu installer for Windows

Wubi is an officially supported Ubuntu installer for Windows users that can bring you to the Linux world with a single click. Wubi allows you to install and uninstall Ubuntu as any other Windows application, in a simple and safe way. Are you curious about Linux and Ubuntu? Trying them out has never been easier!

Try Wubi Now

wubi installs in less than three steps
I installed on my own PC ubuntu with windows

but I don't know if it works on the server

my biggest fear is after the install how can I connect with server and how can I control with the multiple dual boot

is there any advise about that

OR does OVH gives any option of having of having two OS
like partitioning the server and installing for each partition different OS

and thanks
