As stated Esxi has its OWN partitions they cannot be changed, see http://www.vcritical.com/2009/08/if-...-is-it-so-big/ Just do df -h and it will tell you all the partitions.

You must be trying to copy something to the wrong partition.

You should use the vSphere client only really to manage Esxi.

Hi

I think you have missed the point, its NOT 500MB. Esxi has automatic partitioning, see http://www.boche.net/blog/index.php/...t-form-in-esxi

It is not 500MB, but has its on partitioning which cannot be changed. The easiest thing is to install it and run df -h and see what it gives you, it will not be 500MB, but cannot be changed.

You can use some of the recovery options to boot linux so that you can resize the partitions.

Dear Neil i am not satisfied with this option, because vmware esxi store configuration files into / partition so it should not b full..
i am asking that if i only create user it is not successfully because of / space is full.. when i remove some temporary files then i can add users and do some configuration..

and also why not you increase it by default 20GB or more? why tell me what is logic that you set it to 500MB?

i am waiting..

You don't have to use Bridge Networking, you can use Host Only, see http://help.ovh.co.uk/VMware

We do not offer Vmware 2 because of performance issues.
Thanks for your co-operation..
