HD Kernel to Netboot Kernel

Just a note: OVH's kernels are not modular. The exception is the Proxmox kernel and custom kernels you may have installed. If you're using either of the latter two, make sure the modules you need are included with the Netboot kernels.

And I suspect netboot has the ipv6 version.

On another note, is there any reason why OVH's templates install the ipv4 version instead of the ipv6 by default?

Netboot is virtual, it boots from the network. Your data will be untouched on the HDD.

Hello,

Just a quick Q. If you have been using the kernel from HDD, then decide to (try) the Netboot option, will it just "work", or do I need to do something to the actual boxes beforehand?

TIA
