Of you're looking to implement quotas (that is, limit users to X GB of data in their /home directory), have a look at this topic: http://forum.ovh.co.uk/showthread.php?t=3198

That would be a lot simpler and flexible than having a partition for each user.

Hi

I am trying to make partitions of different size on my server ,is it possible to

partition the space mounted on /home .

I want to allocate space to each system user eg user 1 say 30gb and so on

tried to use fdisk to make partitions but didn't get it working

any one help me on this
