Unmetered series: Capped at 100 Mbps, no limitations about amount of traffic consumed.
Traffic series: Full speeds up to a certain amount of traffic per month, then reduced to 10 Mbps if you exceed this amount (with the option to restore it to full speed for that month after paying a fee).
The "Full Speed" depends on the server and the switch it's connected to. For example:
- An EG Max Reloaded has 1 Gbps NIC connected to a 1 Gbps switch - "full speed" is thus a maximum of 1 Gbps.
- A Kimsufi Q-1T has a 1 Gbps NIC but is connected to a 100 Mbps switch - the "full speed" is a maximum of 100 Mbps (unless you upgrade with a "Professional Option" [£15 per month] and a 1 Gbps switch port [£10 per month - a total of £25 per month]).
Restoring the full speed after exceeding that quota is per 2 TB blocks and is best not left done just before the weekend.
Lastly, the "Full Speed" is also dependent on peering. See
http://www.ovh.co.uk/items/framework...ve_hosting.xml for which networks OVH can provide "unlimited" speeds, whereas those are capped at 100 Mbps regardless of your server/switch capabilities.
"Traffic per month" depends on the server as well, and is explained with each server. For example, an EG Max Reloaded has 10 TB of traffic available at full speed before you are capped to 10 Mbps. An MG Max Reloaded has 15 TB, etc.
Internal (OVh->OVH) traffic is
NOT counted towards your "Traffic per month" quota.
Lastly on this point: Traffic is indeed unlimited. It's the speeds that vary, depending on the amount of traffic you use.
